Welcome to the website of Peter Torpey. I am presently a graduate student and research assistant at the MIT Media Laboratory in the Opera of the Future group.
At the Media Lab, I create systems for interactive media, arts, and performance. My research interests include translating expressive representations across modalities and the use of metaphor in interaction design and novel user interfaces.
